Established in 1984, Architectural Ceramics is a family-owned and operated corporation. AC has five convenient residential showrooms in the Greater Washington Metropolitan Area: Maryland: Baltimore, Bethesda, Rockville and Virginia: Alexandria, Vienna, as well as a commercial sales team servicing Atlanta, Baltimore, DC Metro, Richmond, and Philadelphia. Architectural has a worldwide assortment of ceramic, porcelain, natural stone, slate, marble, limestone, glass and metal tiles, with an extensive supply on hand, ready for pickup or to ship from our Rockville, MD and Baltimore, MD warehouses. In addition, Architectural Ceramics has over 30 specialty vendors which can be special ordered for your project.

Betty Sullivan  President and CEO

Betty Sullivan


Betty Sullivan is the matriarch of Architectural Ceramics. Betty has been a key leader for Architectural Ceramics since 2001. Under Betty’s leadership AC has increased revenues sevenfold! In the mid 1990’s, Betty was the president of an Intellectual Property Licensing firm where she partnered with major corporations to provide patent licensing, mastered negotiating skills, and managed high powered patent attorneys. Prior to her work with patent licensing she had retail experience with United Colors of Benneton and L&L Bakeries opening stores and streamlining production.

Trey House

As President of Architectural Ceramics, Trey House will oversee the day-to-day operations of the company and drive to improve operational results across all departments. House brings to AC a combination of business modeling, corporate transitions, and sales experience. Prior to joining AC, Trey was the Vice President of Corporate Services at Foulger-Pratt where he was responsible for enterprise level marketing, IT, and risk management. House also worked for a decade in capital markets, and gained diverse experience structuring, marketing, originating, and distributing credit risk. Trey holds a Bachelor of Science from Cornell University, with a concentration in Real Estate Finance.

David Benson  Vice President of Sales

Vice President of Sales

David has worked with AC for over 15 years and oversees the Sales Division. At the age of 15 he started making deliveries for the family business. He worked with the business part-time in various facets throughout his teenage years and college. After receiving a bachelor’s degree from The George Washington University, David jumped right into full time sales with the company. Over the past 5 years David has personally sold over $5,000,000 in sales while managing the residential sales division of AC.

David holds a CCTS (Certified Ceramic Tile Salesperson), has served on the National Kitchen and Bath Association Board and is currently an active member of the Entrepreneur’s Organization, NARI, NKBA, NVBIA, NAHB and ASID.

Wendy Reeling

Wendy Reeling is Chief Financial Officer for Architectural Ceramics (AC) and is responsible for assisting in formulating the company's future direction and supporting tactical initiatives.  From a tactical perspective, she is responsible to implement best practices driving operational efficiencies, cost savings and strategically positioning programs and solutions that are aligned to the AC's mission and strategic goals. 

Prior to joining AC, Wendy was a Controller for Anthelio Healthcare Solutions, Inc. Anthelio is the largest independent provider of information technology (IT) and business process services to hospitals, physician practice groups and other healthcare providers. She also worked in public accounting with Arthur Andersen which provided her diverse experience working in different sized companies in a variety of industries.

Wendy holds both a Masters and Bachelors degrees from The Catholic University of America in Accounting and Financial Management. She is a CPA in the State of Maryland.


Kersi Press

Territory Manager

Before joining AC Kersi studied Architecture at Lehigh University and begun his career working at the Baltimore based firm CSD. At CSD Kersi worked on both Senior Living and Public works projects. It was here that he discovered his interest in building materials and architectural products.

Kersi got his feet wet in sales at another tile distributor where he begun to develop his passion for tile. As a former architect, Kersi understands not only the design process, but also the challenges designers face when working on commercial projects.This experience helps him better understand the needs and expectations of his customers. Kersi joined the AC team in 2008 to start the AC’s commercial division in Baltimore and has since grown this department to include a showroom and several sales people.

Kersi had been involved with large projects in Baltimore and around the country. Some of these projects include buildings at University of Virginia, Emory University, The Rivergate Apartments in Manhattan and many more. In his 8 years at AC Kersi has been a leader in sales, repeatedly breaking sales records in the commercial department, while helping guide and contribute to the vision and future of AC.


Architectural Ceramics is compromised of trained sales and design consultants which are available to assist the beginner or professional alike with your next project, big or small. Currently we have over 15 design consultants all of whom are ready to serve you.
